Catch up time
It's been awhile.........
Since our last post, about six months ago we've had six birthday celebrations; some of which were the BIG one year old birthday, an eight year old birthday, and a twelve year old birthday. Along with these birthdays came some very important events: the eight year old, ("Bug")was baptized, and the twelve year old (Big D) had the Aaronic Priesthood conferred upon him and ordained to the office of a Deacon.
As an added bonus, our family was able to go to the Draper Temple Open House, and then the three oldest and Kevin and I went to the dedication. It was around the time of Bug's baptism. It was an awesome few weeks!
Big D-- as was mentioned above, turned 12, likes going to Young Men's. Has gotten straight A's all year, helped make a movie at school, is an awesome artist, does well in all of his classes escpecially Math. He got braces in February and he's about as tall as me (not saying much because I'm only 5 feet four inches tall!) Baseball just started. Just this week at practice he hit the ball over the fence! HOLY COW!!!
Crash-- Doing well in school. Plays football, soccer and kickball with the boys at school. I tell her not to beat them up too badly or she'll be sorry later on; NO DATES! Her soccer team won their Division last season undefeated. And the new Spring season is well under way now. They moved up a Division and are now playing Under eleven (U11) So far they're doing really well. Their team will be playing at the Utah Summer Games in the Summer! The big Mile Run is coming up and so far she's gotten around seven minutes and about thirty seconds. You go girl!
Bug--turned 8 got baptized. Around the same time, he got an RPX Rapid Palatal Expander to help make room for his teeth. He's doing awesome in school as well. He's teaching himself how to play the piano and knows how to play about 7 songs some of which are Book of Mormon Stories and I love to See the Temple. He's always been a musical fellow. This year for baseball we moved him up one league, to the Minors. He's in second grade and will be playing with the third and fourth graders who are nine and ten years old. At his first practice the coach decided that Bug should pitch. Bug was pretty excited. But then he told him that he wanted Bug to catch too, Bug told Kevin that he couldn't pitch to himself! What a KID!
The Kindergartner-- we'll have to come up with a new nickname as the end of the school year comes to a close. He likes school, but I think that he would rather be out in the sand box rather than do just about anything else. He'll be in T-ball again this summer. He's more of a socialite. He would rather talk to the guy on first base or flip the bill of his hat than get him out. (They don't do much with outs in T-ball anyway...good thing!) He and Bug were on the same basketball team this winter it was quite the season! It was so much fun to watch!
Baby B--turned one. Currently is wearing some long somewhat curly blond locks. Yes, blond for now. All of our children started out with pretty blond hair then they went dark. He's a cutie, and keeps us busy.
Kevin--Busy with his church calling, and busy with work, even a trip to BRAZIL. Wives weren't able to go this time. That's okay though, we'll be going somewhere together to celebrate our fifteenth wedding anniversary! Yes fifteen years! And we still like each other! He's also helping coach the boy's baseball teams. This summer we'll have six baseball games a week, soccer three to four times a week, and Scouts etc. OH THE FUN.....
Joy--Just trying to stay sane(?) with all of the above!!! :0)
